Fellowship
Bluegrass — Saturday, May 3rd
Tommy Lee Hall and the Sunlighters
& Lloyd Blevins Rambling Mountains
Food at 5:00 Music at 6:00 pm
Many thanks to everyone who helps work in the kitchen! Proceeds from Bluegrass Nights are being earmarked to help with upcoming kitchen renovation expenses. Doors open at 5 pm for food and great desserts. The kitchen crew has the food covered, but we always need desserts, especially tasty pies. Music is 6 - 9 pm—what a deal for a $6 cover charge.
A convenient way to donate a pie is to bring it to church on Sunday and stick it in the church freezer. You get to help without making an extra trip to church!

GALS— Women’s Group
May 15, 2025
6 pm
Since our regularly scheduled meetings are now the 3rd Thursday of the month, the May meeting will beheld on Thursday, May 15. The meeting begins with a light dinner at 6 pm and casual conversation to help us catch up and reconnect. At 7, we move into the meeting portion, with spirit-led discussion, prayer, and “business’ items. All women of the congregation are invited to attend these meetings for food, fellowship, and faith sharing. Friends are always welcome! Maybe you’d like to join us? Talk to Chris Yonkings or Donna Bolling for details.
One part of business to be discussed: where to spend our Spring nut roll profits! The GALS sold 70 nut rolls, with a profit of $335, including a donation from Miss Kitti, herself!

Sunday, May 18th
Mother’s Day
Recognition Potluck
Sunday, May 11th is Mother’s Day, and though it is not a liturgical holiday, it is an appropriate time to give thanks to God formothers, grandmothers, aunts, and other women in our lives who show us the unconditional love of God. On May 11th, we will offer special prayers for all women who have been special in our lives. There will be an additional Prayer List, with space to name the motherly types who have been special in your life and faith formation.
On our regularly-scheduled Third Sunday (May 18th), our coffee and dessert fellowship hour will be a full-on Potluck in honor of moms! There will be a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board soon!
