Planning Meeting: Sunday, July 20th after church
“Exploring God’s Creation”
Our Fellowship Hall will, again, be alive with learning and laughter in the first week of August; as we offer another fun-filled VBS. This year, our theme is “Exploring God’s Creation”; and we’ll be using stories from both the Old and New Testaments to focus! Each evening begins with dinner at 5:30 pm and will include songs, games, crafts, water balloons, and a very special activity on Sunday evening! It’s a great way for kids to learn about faith in a fun-filled atmosphere. Plan on bringing your kids, grandkids, neighbor kids, and any other kids you can think of!! Many thanks to Terri Camp, Karen Kovacs, Karalynne Vitas, and Sue Wickline for all their hard work and dedication in planning the week. Volunteers (including older youth!) are still needed to help out! Ask Terri Camp for more information, or just show up to the planning meeting on July 20th, after church! Registration forms are available on the Narthex table!

VBS Ice Cream Social
Wednesday, August 6th at 7 pm
Vacation Bible School ends with a short program of songs and show-and-tell about “Exploring God’s Creation”. The kids enjoy showing family and friends all they have learned. We extend a word of thanks to all who put in so much time and energy to make it a successful event in faith formation for the children. Then we celebrate with ice cream sundaes! The whole congregation is invited to enjoy the kids and the ice cream sundaes on Wednesday, August 6th! Yum!!

Our fellowship committee hosts a monthly dessert/coffee hour every third Sunday of the month, following worship service! Join everyone in the fellowship hall for chatting, fellowship, and tasty treats! Bring your favorite sweet treat to share! (But still feel free to join us if you forgot to bring something!)

Bluegrass Music Night

Bluegrass Music Nights will start up again on September 6th. The end of summer sneaks up on us quickly, so put this on your calendar, now; and don’t miss the return of some of the best Bluegrass bands in the area, with Nell Hall booking the groups. Our part is to coordinate the kitchen, and there will be a new sign-up sheet soon for help with kitchen organization. Come for music and fun—especially since proceeds are being earmarked for our kitchen remodeling project, hopefully to begin this Fall!
